Prity Banerjee founded the Little Umbrella Foundation, a nonprofit organization, in 2014. As one of India’s youngest social workers, she set a remarkable benchmark by establishing her own organization in her early 20s. Her unwavering commitment to social work has transformed countless lives. Through her child abuse prevention campaigns, she has directly impacted the lives of over 5,000 children, while 10,000 underprivileged children have benefited from the foundation’s diverse projects.

Prity is a prominent social icon and a sought-after speaker, known for her articulate debates and impactful talks. She has been featured on leading news channels such as Delhi Aaj Tak, Aaj Tak, Anjan TV, News24, and India TV. On March 20, 2020, she appeared as an invited guest on News24 to present her views as a social activist during the coverage of the Nirbhaya case verdict.

Prity’s expertise extends beyond social work. She travels extensively as a judge and examiner, showcasing her vast knowledge and skills. Her artistic journey includes playing the lead role in the film “Sandhya Bhasha,” directed by the renowned filmmaker Gautam Chatterji.

In addition, Prity launched the podcast series “Kisse Banaras Ke” during the COVID-19 lockdown, featuring prominent personalities such as Nivaan Sen, Mona Verma, Amit Mishra, and Gaurav Kapoor.

Amid the challenges of the 2020 pandemic, Prity initiated “Virtual Vidyalaya” under the Little Umbrella Foundation, providing free online education to children and ensuring uninterrupted learning opportunities for the underprivileged.
